This photo has been retouched to demonstrate what a Charcoal Black halter looks like with 4 purple beads and obsidian accent beads, obsidian conchos with purple concho beads, and silver and purple wirewrap.
Charoite
This rare and outrageously colored stone comes only from one mountain in Russia. The true purple color is all natural. This may be the most spectacular purple stone there is, and even a little will add vibrant color to a halter. By special order, $15 deposit per bead.
Prices for beads, per set, added to basic beaded halter price:
$75 / set of four beads
$190 / eleven beads
$225 / fourteen beads
$65 / 2 large conchos
$40 / 2 concho beads
or $150 per set if used in combination with any other stone.
Amethyst and Ametrine
Amethyst in large enough pieces to make these beads is not the top faceting-gemstone (fine jewelry) quality, and not often a very intense purple color, but still polishes to a brilliant sparkle. Ametrine has streaks of golden-yellow citrine mixed in, and has a bit more brightness of color because of this. These stones are transparent or translucent, so the color of the halter inside the bead may affect the color you see. By special order, $5 deposit per bead.
Prices for beads, per set, added to basic beaded halter price:
$35 / set of four beads
$90 / eleven beads
$105 / fourteen beads
$40 / 2 large conchos
$20 / 2 concho beads
or $70 per set if used in combination with any other stone.
Bertrandite
Also known as "Purple Tiffany Stone".
A rich creamy lavender purple with streaks of midnight purple, black and peach; rare and very exotic. Polishes like jade. I have some of this unique stone on hand, so require only $5 deposit per bead. Usually sold by the carat, and the price is going up fast, so this is a temporary offer!
Prices for beads, per set, added to basic beaded halter price:
$60 / set of four beads
$150 / eleven beads
$180 / fourteen beads
$55 / 2 large conchos
$30 / 2 concho beads
or $120 per set if used in combination with any other stone.
Sugalite
Rare and fast becoming expensive! This stone is very beautiful, and takes a smooth waxy polish. This is another semi-precious stone which is high on the “exotic” list, and is now being sold by the gram. Colors vary greatly, from rich mauve to true purple to almost cobalt. The photo of the bracelet, above right, shows two colors of Sugalite with China Mt Turquoise. Special order only, $20 deposit per bead.

$80 / 2 large conchos
$50 / 2 concho beads
or $190 per set if used in combination with any other stone.
Agate (Brazilian - Dyed Purple)
This is NOT the natural stone color, but it polishes beautifully and is the cheapest way to get highly-colored and patterned stone beadwork. Each piece is wildly different, but I will match the beads as much as possible. Special order, $10 deposit for each set of 4-14 beads.
